The CATIA-Product and all necessary files are saved in the status quo in a directory.
The repositoryof the files on the file server is carried out following a defined example at which the individual files of the CATIA-Products are distributed on several directories.
The file names of the models are subject to a naming convention using which the target directories have to be found out on the customer file server. A "normal" copying process on file system level would have the consequence that model references in the CATIA-Product were lost.
The Product Relocator makes sure that the references in the CATIA-Product remain unchanged.
