For the construction of many form elements at a rotation body no feature programs exist in the CAD system CATIA V5.
They must therefore be produced manually. So that the tolerances of the form elements comply with the norm, the geometry data have to be gathered from corresponding tables. By the complex geometry of many form elements as well as the search for the corresponding norms for the geometry data the manual construction usually of these form elements represents a time expensive task.
The SWMS toolbox is integrated as an additional application in CATIA V5 so that a feature program oriented mode of operation is possible with the corresponding advantages.
Adding form elements to a rotation body is automated.
The designer selects the corresponding form element to this. The advantage from it is that the effortful preparation of profile outlines is dropped and that the form elements standardized are produced.

The time and thus cost-intensive construction processes for the production of form elements at a rotation body are "defused". The construction of the form elements is feature program based carried out so that a modification of form elements already produced is possible without much effort.
Furthermore the time expensive looking up of geometry data in DIN standards is dropped since the form elements are designed according to norm in which the geometry data are provided about a database connection.
